Many science related leaflets or flyers are full of too much written information and overload the reader. To get an audience to pick up a leaflet regarding something quite full on, it needs to be more simple and straight to the point. More imagery should be used and not vast amounts of small paragraphs of text. However, on the other hand if it needs to consist of certain information that it quite intense then depending on who it is aimed at maybe imagery or brief key words can be used and highlighted.

On the other hand, with the correct layout, imagery, type and colourways a leaflet that needs to display lots of information can still do so if these factors are taken into consideration. However when trying to grab people's attention regarding science, imagery and photographs relating to the subject is pretty important as it adds a bit of excitement and relevance to the aesthetics of the piece of communication.
