Theory

Part of the essay looks into psychoanalysis and the 'dynamic unconsciousness which is all about how the psyche represses memories, events and thoughts so that it is pushed away and harder to access. However, it is also this part of the mind that can uncover phobias and desires.

Freud did a lot of his experiments on patients with schizophrenia as the illness has many unexplained answers. 

Briefly, schizophrenia is a psychological illness that causes hallucination and thoughts that suggest a spilt personality. 

The design idea
The idea is to produce a informative publication on the ins and outs on schizophrenia aimed at family and friends of people suffering with the mental illness. However the design of the publication has a twist to it. At first glance, the pages will apear blank, however when a light is shone at this pages, the text and imagery will appear. This is communicating the concept of the schizophrenia is absorbed with part of the psyche that we cant see or understand, therefore making the publication interactive 'uncovers' aspects that is know about the illness.
